Lammas

Also known as: Lughnasadh; Lugh; Festival of Green Corn; First Harvest; Ceresalia; Elembiuos; Feast of Cardenas

Lammas, which falls on August 1st, is the time of the first harvest. The plants of spring begin to wither and drop their fruits or seeds. The God begins to lose strength. The Goddess watches in sorrow as she realizes that the God is dying. She is also joyful because She knows that the God lives inside Her child. Lammas is also the time for thanksgiving.
