The Goddess
The Goddess is the female aspect of divinity. She is
closely associated with the Moon and its cycles. She
is the source of fertility, wisdom, and love.
The Goddess is often symbolized as having three
aspects, representing the cycles of life: the
Maiden, the Mother, and the Crone. As the Maiden,
the Goddess is the virgin huntress and represents the
fullness of youth.
As the Mother, the Goddess is the fertile and
nurturing Mother of the harvest. She is, also, the
embodiment of sexuality. As the Crone, She is the
wise woman of experience. She rules over the
unbroken cycle of death and rebirth.
No matter how the Goddess is envisioned, She is
eternal.
During ritual, the Goddess is often called upon by reciting the Charge of the Goddess.
